YES!
PRINT DESIGN, WAYFINDING
The George Brown College School of Design Year End Show—otherwise known as YES!—is an annual event that showcases the talented graduates of its diverse design programs. As part of the wayfinding and exhibition committee for the event, I took on the role of designing handheld and installed maps, as well as directional signage and placemaking vinyl decals.

Using the existing Underline studio designed branding identity for the event and with the first in person event, I focused my efforts on creating an interactive physical experience through a tactile map with intentional diecuts and folds that helps the user navigate and discover exhibition spaces. See below for a stop motion gif exemplifying the experiential components in real time.

In addition to the hand held maps, larger sized maps and room signs were postered over existing ones in the building. The wayfinding team also planned, cut and installed vinyl throughout the school. Used primarily to guide guests and to highlight specific areas throughout the exhibition.
